How does RMVR remove objects from photos?

RMVR uses two AI engines. For simple edits (small brush strokes, minor blemishes), it runs the LaMa inpainting model entirely on your iPhone — fast and fully private. For complex edits (tap-to-select objects, people, large areas), it sends the photo to Google Vertex AI (Imagen 3) for higher quality. You can force on-device-only mode in Settings → Removal engine.

Is my photo stored on your servers?

No. Photos sent for cloud AI editing are processed in real time and never stored, logged, or used to train AI models. They pass through our Cloudflare Workers proxy (in memory only) to Google Cloud, which returns the edited result and discards the input. All transfers are encrypted with TLS 1.3.

Can I use RMVR offline?

Yes. Enable Settings → Removal engine → "On-device only" to use the LaMa model locally for all edits. Cloud features (Background replacement, AI text edit, Expand) require internet.

How do I cancel my RMVR Pro subscription?

Open iPhone Settings > tap your name > Subscriptions > RMVR Pro > Cancel Subscription. You'll keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period. You can also tap "Manage Subscription" in the RMVR app's Settings screen.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the RMVR purchase, and request a refund. Apple decides on a case-by-case basis.

What are the cloud quotas for RMVR Pro?

Weekly ($4.99/week): 60 cloud AI edits per 7 days. Annual ($34.99/year): 450 cloud AI edits per 365 days. After exceeding the cloud quota, RMVR automatically falls back to on-device LaMa for Remove mode. On-device edits are always unlimited for Pro subscribers.

How does the free trial work?

New users can try RMVR Pro free for 3 days (Weekly plan) or 7 days (Welcome Offer Weekly plan). You won't be charged during the trial. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. The trial is offered once per Apple ID.

How do I restore my Pro purchase on a new device?

Open RMVR > Settings > Restore Purchases. Your subscription is linked to your Apple ID and will be restored automatically. This also works if you reinstall the app.

The AI edit produced an unexpected result. Why?

AI models are not perfect. Results vary based on the mask you draw, the complexity of the scene, and the AI's training. For small objects, try drawing a slightly larger mask with some padding. For people, use the tap-to-select feature for better segmentation. For stubborn cases, try switching to "Cloud AI always" in Settings → Removal engine.

Why do my free-tier photos have a "RMVR" watermark?

Free-tier edits include a subtle watermark to identify them as made with RMVR. Upgrade to Pro to remove the watermark from all edits, including past free-tier ones you re-edit in Pro.

Does RMVR share my photos with Google for training?

No. We use Google Vertex AI and Gemini under their paid API terms, which explicitly exclude your data from being used for model training. Google processes your photo, returns the result, and discards the input. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I revoke AI processing consent?

Open RMVR > Settings > Data & Privacy > Revoke AI Processing Consent. You'll be prompted again the next time you try to use a cloud AI feature. Alternatively, use "On-device only" mode to prevent any photo data from being sent to AI providers at all.
