Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Praxis Coach: Praxis Exam Prep ("Praxis Coach," "the App"), developed by Anton (Batumi, Georgia). By using Praxis Coach, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Praxis Coach, or meet your jurisdiction's minimum digital age of consent, whichever is higher.
- If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian should review these Terms before you use the App.
- In EU member states where the digital age of consent exceeds 13 (e.g., 16 in Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, France), parental consent is recommended for users below that age to use the cloud AI features.
2. Description of Service
Praxis Coach is a study and test-preparation application for Praxis® teacher-licensure exams. It provides:
- Practice questions with an AI Explainer on every answer (right or wrong), drawn from original question banks written to the public ETS content outlines.
- Timed mock exams that mirror the real format and timing, with a score estimate and a per-area breakdown.
- "Review with AI" session summaries highlighting your strengths and weaknesses, plus per-question explanations.
- Praxis AI, a conversational tutor for concepts, strategy, and worked examples.
- Written-response (essay) practice with AI-generated scoring and feedback for exams that include constructed-response sections.
- Spaced-repetition review, progress stats, and streaks — all stored on your device.
AI Disclosure (EU AI Act Article 50): Praxis Coach uses generative AI to produce answer explanations, session summaries, tutor chat replies, and written-response feedback. These are generated by Google Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite via Google Vertex AI. AI outputs may contain inaccuracies or omissions, are study aids only, and are not a guarantee of any score or of passing. Always verify important facts against the official ETS Study Companion and current ETS materials.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
3.1 Free Tier
The free tier lets you practice up to 10 questions per day and browse the App. Answer explanations, unlimited practice, mock exams, the AI tutor, and written-response scoring require Praxis Coach Premium.
3.2 Praxis Coach Premium
Premium unlocks unlimited daily practice, full-length timed mock exams, the Praxis AI tutor, written-response scoring, and every exam bank we add:
- Weekly: $6.99 per week — with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers.
- Annual: $49.99 per year — billed yearly (our best value versus paying weekly).
- Lifetime: $89.99 one-time — a non-renewing purchase that unlocks Premium permanently.
Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency at the time of purchase. The pricing shown in the App at the moment of purchase is authoritative.
3.3 Free Trial Terms
- The free trial is offered once per Apple ID per product.
- You will not be charged during the free-trial period.
- Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription at the displayed price.
- Cancelling during the trial gives you access until the trial period ends.
3.4 Auto-Renewal Terms
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Auto-renewing subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings in the App Store after purchase. The Lifetime option is a one-time, non-renewing purchase and does not auto-renew.
3.5 Cancellation
- Cancel anytime: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Praxis Coach Premium
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- No partial refunds for unused time
- Refund requests: contact Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com
3.6 EU Right of Withdrawal
EU/EEA consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content purchases under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU). By confirming your purchase in the App Store, you acknowledge that digital content delivery begins immediately and you consent to waive the 14-day withdrawal period as permitted under Article 16(m). You may still cancel auto-renewal for future periods at any time.
4. AI-Generated Content
- Explanations, session summaries, tutor chat replies, study tips, and written-response scores produced by Praxis Coach are generated by AI and may contain inaccuracies, factual errors, or outdated information.
- Written-response scores and feedback are practice estimates intended to help you improve — they are not official ETS scores, are not produced by ETS, and do not predict your official result.
- Score-readiness indicators ("on track to pass," etc.) are estimates derived from raw percent-correct and are not official ETS scaled scores. State passing requirements vary; consult ETS and your certification authority for authoritative information.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI output, and the App is not a substitute for the official ETS Study Companion or a qualified instructor.
- You retain ownership of text you submit to AI features. We use it only to generate your reply; your submissions are not used to train AI models (per Google Vertex AI / Gemini enterprise API terms).
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Praxis Coach to:
- Submit content that is unlawful, harmful to children, or otherwise prohibited under applicable law.
- Attempt to obtain, reconstruct, or distribute actual live ETS exam questions, or to use the App to cheat on or compromise the security of any examination.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary content, question banks, system prompts, or credentials from the App.
- Circumvent rate limits, authentication, the daily free-question limit, or other security measures.
- Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to submit requests to our servers, or attempt to misuse the AI tutor for purposes unrelated to Praxis study.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App, its question banks, or its AI capabilities as a separate service.
Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of your access.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes data collection, use, and protection in detail, including the Apple Guideline 5.1.2(i) disclosure of third-party AI processing. By using Praxis Coach, you agree to the Privacy Policy. Your study data is stored on your device; deleting the App removes it.
7. Intellectual Property
- The Praxis Coach application, design, code, branding, illustrations, original question banks, and assembled AI pipeline are the intellectual property of Anton.
- "Praxis Coach" is a trademark of Anton. PRAXIS is a registered trademark of Educational Testing Service (ETS); Praxis Coach is not affiliated with or endorsed by ETS.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App or its question banks.
- Google Vertex AI and Gemini are services of Google LLC, used under their enterprise API terms. RevenueCat is a service of RevenueCat, Inc.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED EXPLANATIONS, SCORES, OR STUDY GUIDANCE WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. PRAXIS COACH DOES NOT GUARANTEE ANY EXAM SCORE OR OUTCOME AND IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR OFFICIAL ETS MATERIALS.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANTON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST DATA, LOST PROFITS, EXAM FEES, FAILED OR DELAYED CERTIFICATION, OR LOSS OF OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP OR RELIANCE ON ITS AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS. TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Anton from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the App; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party right.
11. Termination
- You may stop using Praxis Coach at any time by deleting the App from your device.
- We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms, without notice.
- Local data remains on your device until you delete the App.
- Active subscriptions continue until cancelled through the App Store (see Section 3.5).
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia (country). Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, then through courts of competent jurisdiction.
EU/EEA residents: Nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory consumer protections under the laws of your country of residence, including EU Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights) and Directive 93/13/EEC (Unfair Contract Terms). Any dispute may also be brought before the courts of your country of residence.
13. Changes to These Terms
Material changes will be communicated via an updated "Last updated" date and, where practicable, an in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (EULA) constitute the entire agreement between you and Anton regarding the use of Praxis Coach.
