What is Praxis Coach?

A study app for Praxis® teacher-licensure exams. You practice real-format questions and get an AI explanation on every answer — right or wrong — so the material actually sticks. It also includes full-length timed mock exams, a "Review with AI" summary of your strengths and weaknesses, an AI tutor (Praxis AI), written-response (essay) scoring, and spaced-repetition review.

Is Praxis Coach affiliated with ETS?

No. Praxis Coach is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Educational Testing Service (ETS). PRAXIS is a registered trademark of ETS. Every question is an original work written to the public ETS content outlines — the app contains no leaked or actual exam questions.

Will this guarantee I pass?

No app can guarantee a score. Praxis Coach is a practice and study tool. AI explanations and score estimates are study aids and may contain errors — always verify important facts against the official ETS Study Companion and confirm your state's passing requirements with your certification authority.

How does the AI work, and is my data private?

When you tap an AI feature (an answer explanation follow-up, the Praxis AI chat, a session summary, or essay scoring), the relevant text is sent through our Cloudflare Workers proxy to Google Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite (via Google Vertex AI) to generate a reply. No photos, camera, location, or account are involved. Your submissions are processed in real time, not stored on our servers, and not used to train AI models. Where is my progress stored?

All of it — your answers, stats, streak, review schedule, missed questions, and AI chat history — lives on your device. We keep no server-side copy. That also means deleting the app permanently erases your study history, and progress does not sync between devices.

What's free, and what's Premium?

The free tier gives you up to 10 practice questions per day. Premium unlocks answer explanations, unlimited practice, full-length timed mock exams, the Praxis AI tutor, written-response scoring, and every exam bank we add.

How much does Premium cost?

Weekly $6.99 (with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers), Annual $49.99, or a one-time Lifetime purchase of $89.99. Prices may vary by region; the price shown in the app at purchase is authoritative.

How do I start, manage, or cancel the free trial / subscription?

Start a trial or subscribe from the paywall in the app. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you won't be charged. The Lifetime purchase is one-time and never renews.

I already paid — how do I restore my purchase?

Open the app's Settings screen and tap Restore purchases. This re-checks your Apple ID for an active subscription or Lifetime purchase and re-enables Premium. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you bought with.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong, email us first at support@byanton.dev and we'll help.

Which exams are covered?

Praxis Coach covers a growing set of Praxis tests, including Core (Reading, Writing, Math), Teaching Reading, and Elementary Education subtests. New banks are added over time and are included with Premium at no extra cost. Pick your exam in onboarding or change it anytime from the Home screen.
