What is Pongr?
Pongr is a clean, glanceable scoreboard for table tennis (ping-pong). Tap a player's side to add a point; Pongr handles serve rotation, deuce, and changing ends automatically, with big numbers you can read from across the table. It supports singles and doubles, match history, an Apple Watch app, widgets, and a Lock Screen Live Activity.
Is Pongr free?
Yes — scoring is completely free. Pongr PRO is an optional upgrade that unlocks Apple Watch scoring, match history & stats, the Live Activity, all themes, doubles, and custom rules (like 21-point games).
Does the serve really change every 2 points? And the sides?
Yes. In an 11-point game the serve changes every 2 points (every point once it's 10–10 / deuce); in a classic 21-point game it changes every 5 points. Per the rules, players change ends between games, and in the deciding game they switch when the first player reaches the halfway point (5 points in an 11-point game). You can turn the automatic side-switch off in Settings if you prefer.
What is Free Play?
Free Play turns Pongr into two simple endless counters — no games, serve rotation, deuce, or side changes. Just tap to count. It's great for warm-ups or any game you want to score your own way. Toggle it in Settings.
How do I rename players or change the rules mid-match?
Tap the pill at the top of the scoreboard to change best-of, points-to-win, and who serves first; open the "…" menu → Edit Names to rename players. In Settings you'll find themes, doubles, handedness, and more. Theme and rule changes apply to the live match right away.
Is my data private?
Completely. Your scores, history, names and settings are stored only on your device. There's no account, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. The only thing that ever leaves your device is what's needed to process a purchase. See our Privacy Policy.
Does it sync between my iPhone and Apple Watch?
Yes — the live score syncs directly between your iPhone and your paired Apple Watch over Apple's on-device connection. It does not pass through any server, and it doesn't sync history between different people's devices.
What does Pongr PRO cost, and how do I manage it?
PRO is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (such as weekly and annual) and may also be offered as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices vary by region and are always shown in the app before you confirm. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; a Lifetime purchase never renews.
I already paid — how do I restore my purchase?
Open Pongr's Settings and tap Restore Purchases. This re-checks your Apple ID for an active subscription or lifetime purchase and re-enables PRO. Be sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you bought with.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong, email us first at support@byanton.dev and we'll help.
