What is PCOS Bae?
A gentle nutrition, cycle and symptom companion for women with PCOS. Snap a photo of your meal (or describe it) and PCOS Bae's AI estimates the calories, protein/carbs/fat, fiber, added sugar, and PCOS-friendliness scores (blood-sugar, inflammation, hormone support) with a short reason and a kind swap suggestion. It also includes an irregular-aware cycle calendar, PCOS symptom and mood tracking, body-neutral weight logging, lessons, recipes, workouts, and a doctor-visit report you can export as a PDF.
Is PCOS Bae medical or nutritional advice?
No. PCOS Bae is a general wellness tool. PCOS is a medical condition that should be diagnosed and managed with a healthcare professional. Calorie targets, cycle-phase guidance, PCOS scores, and symptom/mood tracking are estimates, not medical, nutritional, or diagnostic advice, and not a substitute for a doctor or dietitian. Cycle info is an estimate — not a contraceptive or fertility method, which matters especially with PCOS where cycles are often irregular. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition, or any history of disordered eating, please talk to a professional.
How does the AI scan work, and is my data private?
When you scan or describe a meal, the single photo or text you submit is sent through our Cloudflare Workers proxy to Google Gemini 2.5 Flash (via Google Vertex AI) to estimate the nutrition and PCOS scores. It's processed in real time, not stored on our servers, and not used to train AI models. No account, no location, no ads, no tracking. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What do the PCOS scores mean?
Each meal gets three gentle 0–10 scores: blood-sugar (how steady the meal is likely to keep your glucose — higher is better for insulin resistance), inflammation (how anti-inflammatory it is), and hormone support (fiber, healthy fats, protein and key micronutrients). They're informational nudges, not medical measurements — there are no "bad" foods.
How accurate are the calorie numbers?
They're careful estimates from a photo or description — helpful for awareness, but not lab-precise. You can tap any value to edit it, adjust the portion, or re-run the analysis before saving. For best results, frame the whole plate in good light.
Where is my data stored?
All of it — meals, photos, body metrics, cycle, symptom and mood history — lives on your device. We keep no server-side copy. Deleting the app permanently erases everything, and data does not sync between devices.
How does cycle tracking work with PCOS?
PCOS often means irregular cycles, so PCOS Bae is built for that. From the last-period date, cycle length and period length you enter, it shows a cycle calendar with gentle, irregular-aware phase guidance and lets you log new period starts so it reflects your real rhythm. It deliberately avoids over-confident ovulation/fertility predictions when your cycle looks irregular. Update your cycle anytime in Track.
What's the doctor report?
A clean PDF that summarises your recent cycle, symptoms, mood and weight trend so you can share it at an appointment. It's generated on your device from the data you logged — nothing is uploaded. Export it from the Track tab.
What's free, and what's PCOS Bae Pro?
Almost everything is free forever — lessons, recipes, workouts, cycle/symptom/mood tracking, and the doctor-report PDF. You also get a few free AI meal scans every day. Pro removes the daily scan cap (unlimited scans) and helps keep PCOS Bae independent. Weekly is $7.99 (with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers); Yearly is $49.99 (best value); Lifetime is a one-time $99.99. Prices may vary by region; the price shown in the app at purchase is authoritative.
How do I start, manage, or cancel my subscription?
Start a trial or subscribe from the paywall in the app. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you won't be charged. The Lifetime option is a one-time purchase — nothing renews.
I already paid — how do I restore my purchase?
Open the app's Profile screen and tap Restore purchases. This re-checks your Apple ID for an active subscription or lifetime purchase and re-enables Pro. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you bought with.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong, email us first at support@byanton.dev and we'll help.
I have a feature idea or feedback.
We'd love to hear it — email support@byanton.dev. Real user feedback from women living with PCOS shapes what we build next.
